Tram routes No. 5, 6 and 7 to change on October 18

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that tram routes No. 5, 6 and 7 will be changed on October 18 due to rail track renovation works at the crossing of Elizabetes Street and Kronvalda Boulevard.

Tram route No. 5 – trams will run by route "Iļģuciems – Central market". The other part of the route ("13^th January Street – Mīlgrāvis") will be served by bus No. 5T, to which passengers will have to transfer from trams to continue the trip. Passengers have also to take into account that tram stop “13^th January Street” on the way to Pārdaugava will be transferred to the other side of the street, where passengers of trams No. 2, 4 and 10 get off and on (on the way to the Central market).

Tram route No. 6 – trams will run by route "Railway Terminal Square – Jugla." The other part of the route ("Radio Street – Ausekļa Street") will be served by bus No. 5T, to which passengers will have to transfer from trams to continue the trip.

Tram route No. 7 – trams will run by route "Trade centre „Dole” – Central market ", part of the route "Central market - Ausekļa Street" will be closed. In the closed part of the route, passengers can use bus route No. 5T.

Buses on route No. 5T will run according toschedule of tram route No. 5. The buses will run to Mīlgrāvis in 13^th January Street, Radio Street, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Aspazijas Boulevard, Z.A.Meierovica Boulevard, Kronvalda Boulevard, Elizabetes Street, Eksporta Street, Pētersalas Street, Ganību dambis, Tilta Street, Sarkandaugavas Street, Sliežu Street, Tvaika Street. On the way to the city centre, the buses will run in Tvaika Street, Sliežu Street, Sarkandaugavas Street, Tilta Street, Ganību dambis, Pētersalas Street, Eksporta Street, Elizabetes Street, Kronvalda Boulevard, Z.A.Meierovica Boulevard, Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street and 13^th January Street.

Those passengers having bought tickets or registered their trip in one part of the routes to be changed, can continue their trip after transferring to the other part of the route without buying another ticket or registering the trip. In other cases, a ticket has to be bought/trip is to be registered.
